Richard joined City Capital Advisors in 2007 where he is an Operating Director whose focus is on Value Creation for companies. During his 30-year technology & finance career Richard has served in chief executive and senior management positions, as an advisor leading businesses through complex operational change, and in strategic sales, marketing and finance roles.

Prior to joining City Capital, Richard was the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Finance at C-bridge, an Insight Capital Partners company, from its start-up in 1998 to its initial public offering in 1999 and its sale to Progress Software in 2003. During this time, Richard led the development of C-Bridge’s private equity performance improvement services in the US, Europe and Pacific Rim, responsible for Process, People and Technology. Richard also drove the development of the process methodology used by C-Bridge and other companies.

Earlier, Richard was Regional Vice President of the Industrial Sector at Oracle Corporation, directing strategy for the company’s largest and most profitable vertical sector. In addition, he was a management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand and Laventhol & Horwath, where he worked with Venture Capital and Equity firms, and as an advisor to Fortune 1000 clients.

Throughout his career, Richard has led businesses through significant re-organization and restructuring, worked closely with a variety of middle market companies, and has worked in both worldwide with leading technology-driven businesses including Siemens AG, Honda, Caterpillar, General Motors, Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, SembCorp, Foster’s, Seagate, Bank of New York, Eaton, Applied Materials, Central Carolina Bank, Polo Ralph Lauren, Frost Bank, The Harford, Aegon, ANICO, Chevron and Liz Claiborne.
